Affordable Connectivity Program


Stack of hands. Unity and teamwork concept.The Affordable Connectivity Program is administered by the Federal Communications Commission, whose purpose is to help ensure households can afford the broadband they need for work, school, healthcare, and more.

The program offers up to $30 per month toward internet service for eligible households. With this discount, our basic package is $19.95/mo. and the pro package is $49.95/mo.

A household is eligible if a member of the household meets at least one of the criteria below:

  • Has an income that is at or below 200% of the federal poverty guidelines; or
  • Participates in certain assistance programs, such as SNAP, Medicaid, Federal Public Housing Assistance, SSI, WIC, or Lifeline;
  • Is approved to receive benefits under the free and reduced-price school lunch program or the school breakfast program, including through the USDA Community Eligibility Provision in the 2019-2020, 2020-2021, or 2021-2022 school year;
  • Received a Federal Pell Grant during the current award year; or
  • Meets the eligibility criteria for a participating provider’s existing low-income program.

The Affordable Connectivity Program offers up to $30 per month towards internet service for eligible households. In addition, RiverNet Connect will offer an additional $10 per month for households that qualify. Visit (link to ACP) to check your eligibility. Once completed, you will receive notification of your approval, typically via email. Once approved, call our member services line at 843-675-3200.

Determining your eligibility is easy. Simply apply on and select “Lynches River Communications” as your provider. Upon completing the application, you should receive a notification of your approval/denial via email. Once approved, simply call the RiverNet Connect customer service line at 843-675-3200.

Customers must be located in an active RiverNet service area to receive this benefit.

The Affordable Connectivity Program is administered by USAC with oversight from the Federal Communications Commission (FCC).

Only one monthly service discount and one device discount is allowed per household. To receive the connected device discount, consumers need to enroll in the ACP with a participating provider that offers connected devices. The internet company will provide the discount to the consumer.
